Contact

For any request regarding the Site, its content or the exercise of your rights over your personal data, you can reach the publisher:

Intellectual property

All elements of the Site (texts, logo, visual identity, source code, encryption/decryption algorithms, illustrations, educational pages) are the exclusive property of Challenge My Project or subject to a usage license. Any reproduction, representation, modification, distribution or exploitation, whether total or partial, by any process whatsoever, without prior written authorization from the publisher, is prohibited and may constitute an infringement under articles L.335-2 and following of the French Intellectual Property Code.

Grids published by users remain the property of their authors. By publishing them, the author grants Challenge My Project a non-exclusive license to distribute them as part of the service.

Personal data

Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the amended French Data Protection Act, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection with respect to your personal data.

Data collected by the Site is limited to what is necessary for the service to function: email address and Firebase identifiers for account creation, username, optional avatar, and metadata tied to the grids you create or solve.

A puzzle's solution is never stored in clear. Only a SHA-256 hash, computed in your browser, is kept — it cannot be used to recover the original text. Attempts are also validated client-side, in your browser.

To exercise your rights or ask a question about your data, contact the publisher via the details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.

Cookies

The Site uses a minimal set of trackers: technical local storage that is always active (theme preference, consent choice) and, subject to your acceptance, an anonymised audience-measurement tool (Google Analytics 4). No advertising cookie is set.

Full details on cookies, retention, purposes and consent management are provided on the dedicated Cookies & trackers page.

Liability

Challenge My Project does its best to ensure the accuracy of information published on the Site and to guarantee its availability, but cannot be held absolutely responsible. The Site may be temporarily unavailable due to technical maintenance or incidents beyond the publisher's control.

Content provided for educational purposes (cipher method pages, demonstrations) is intended to entertain and explain historical cryptography. It does not constitute security advice for modern operational use.

Governing law

These legal notices are governed by French law. Any dispute related to the use of the Site will be brought before the competent courts in the jurisdiction of the publisher's registered office, unless otherwise mandated by law.
